Shri Kantikumar R. Podar, was a visionary philanthropist, has made significant contributions in the field of education, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. Shri. Kantikumar R. Podar has been in the forefront of Indian Business and Industry. He was the First Indian President of the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industries with its headquarters in Pakistan. He was the President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI the Apex Chamber of Commerce and Industries). He was also the President of The Economic and Scientific Research Foundation, the Chairman of the Indian Cotton Mills Association (parent body of textile mills in India), Indian Council of Arbitration, President of Indian Merchants’ Chamber, Chairman of the Mill Owners’ Association, All India Organization of Employers, All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association, Employer’s Association of Rajasthan, Chairman of Bombay Textile Research Association among several other organizations. He also served as the Chairman of the Indo-Netherland Joint Business Council and Indo-Polish Joint Business Council. He was the youngest Sheriff of Bombay and was a Special Executive Magistrate of Bombay. He has been on the Senate of Bombay University for several years. He was connected with several committees appointed by the State and Central Governments. 

Shri. Kantikumar R. Podar has travelled to various countries leading business delegations and was invited by the Government of Japan to visit Japan as their Guest under the “Annual Invitation Programme” in 1982. He took keen interest in the upliftment of the downtrodden for the social cause of the Poor People. He was the Chairman for over 10 years of the Children’s Aid Society, which is the largest Child Welfare Agency in Asia. He has been the great source of motivation and has a vision to impart education to underprivileged. He had started the education in the backward areas of Shekhawati region of Rajasthan by establishing group of educational institutions and Kantikumar R. Podar Incubation center is one of the exemplary contribution towards the field of education and for the people of Rajasthan.
